Assam's weightlifter Suditya Baruah wins Gold Medal in the 4th Khelo India Youth Games, held at Panchkula in Haryana. Suditya hails from Assam's Charaideo district. Suditya contested in the 89 KG category. It is noteworthy that, Suditya clinched the gold medal in Youth National Weightlifting Championship held at Bhubaneswar on 28 March 2022. He participated in the 89 kg category and lifted 116 kg in snatch and 159kg in clean and jerk. Suditya Boruah also won the gold medal in men's under-17 89 kg weightlifting at the Khelo India Youth Games, held in Guwahati.
