Footballer Alen Deory was felicitated by the Assam Olympic Association at the closing ceremony of the Assam Youth Olympics at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra on Wednesday evening. Deory received a cheque of rupees 1 lakh at the same event from Assam Olympic Association for his training purposes. Due to which, the international has not played for any major club. Alen Deory met the Chief Minister after the ceremony and requested for government employment and the Chief Minister assured the international footballer of employment. Alen Deory, a Tiwa footballer, also played for Indian Super League (ISL) clubs North East United and Mumbai City.
