On June 9th, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma expanded his cabinet of Ministers. As 2 new ministers were included in Dr. Sarma’s Cabinet, the total number of ministers in the cabinet increased to 15.
Jayanta Malla Baruah and Nandita Gorlosa took oath as new Cabinet Ministers of Assam.
Jayanta Malla Baruah is responsible for the Public Health Engineering Department, Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, and Tourism Department.
Meanwhile, Nandita Gorlosa is responsible for the Power Department, Cooperation Department, Mines and Minerals Department, and Indigenous and Tribal Faith and Cultural Department.
