Arunachal Pradesh: 19 Labour feared death drowned in Kumey River in Arunachal Pradesh, left for Assam a week ago

19 laborers are feared dead due to drowning in the Kumey river of Arunachal Pradesh. These laborers were engaged in road construction on the China border, and all of them were missing for a week.

These laborers wanted to go to their homes in Assam on the occasion of Eid. For this, he sought leave from the contractor, but he refused. On this, the laborers left for their homes on foot. Now officially, the news of the disappearance of these laborers is being received. It is feared that these laborers drowned in the Kumey river.

All the laborers hailed from Assam and were engaged by the Border Roads Organization (BRO) to build a road near the Chinese border in Arunachal Pradesh. After not getting leave from the contractor to go home, he left for Assam on foot.

According to media reports, these laborers went missing in the forests of Kurung Kumey district of Arunachal. It is feared that all of them drowned in the river while crossing the Kumey river. There has also been talk of finding a dead body. At present, the rescue is going on.

The team engaged in the rescue has also expressed the possibility of drowning while crossing the river. However, it is not known when the laborers drowned in the Kumey river. Their family members also do not have any information. It has come to know that a week ago, he had left for home on foot. Kumey river falls on the way. Therefore, there must have been an accident while crossing it.

It is worth mentioning that it is raining heavily in the Northeast. In the states of Assam, Mizoram, etc., including Arunachal Pradesh, rivers have been running in spate for the last few days. As a result, there was a flood in several districts.
