Due to heavy rainfall in the city, reports of water logging came from almost every other area of the city. Specially, Anil Nagar, Nabin Nagar, RG Baruah rood, Rukmini Gaon, Satgaon and many more.
Many parts of Guwahati are submerged yearly with water due to heavy rainfall. Another reason for the flood is the lake of proper drainage systems.
According to Indian Meteorological Department, the rainfall will continue till the 17th of June.
SDRF forces were deployed in many city areas to deal with the worst situation.
