A body of a women was found in a sack in the city’s Bamunimaidam area. The body had been lying in the sewer since Tuesday. The sack was spotted by some people late yesterday evening.
Local opened the sack when there was odor everywhere. Later, they immediately informed the police. The woman is suspected of being killed and dumped in a sack.
In this incident, Chandmari police started an investigation. The victim was identified as Mamida. She has been missing since Tuesday morning.
As per the reports, she came to Guwahati a month ago in search of work.
It is worth mentioning that the crime rate has increased in the city by a marginal number.
