Reports also stated that two others, identified as 20-year-old Arun Kumar and 18-year-old Arun Kumar, were injured in the accident. However, detailed information regarding their condition was not immediately available.

The Scorpio involved in the accident reportedly bore registration number AS-01-DC-3141, while the truck involved was identified by registration number AS-01-GP-9940.

Police personnel reached the spot soon after the accident and initiated rescue and investigation procedures. The damaged vehicles were later removed from the road to restore traffic movement in the area.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident, including whether over-speeding or reckless driving contributed to the collision.

The incident has once again raised concerns over the increasing number of road accidents across Assam, particularly involving speeding vehicles during night hours.
