On Sunday Evening, at least 26 people lost their life and 4 were seriously injured in a fatal road mishap after a bus coming from MP's panna district fell into a deep gulf in Uttarkashi. The passengers were mostly pilgrims who were going to Char Dham Yatra.
Uttarkashi Bus Accident - How did the incident happen?
According to media coverage, the accident occurred near Rikhavu khadd on the way to the Himalayan shrine around two kilometres from the Damta area on NH-94. The mishap happened at around 7.15 p.m. after the driver allegedly fell asleep at the wheel.
