A court in Bihar granted interim relief to educator and YouTuber Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, while hearing his anticipatory bail plea in connection with a case linked to a firing and vandalism incident outside his coaching institute in Patna.

During the hearing, the court upheld its earlier direction that no coercive action should be taken against Khan Sir until the next date of hearing. The court also instructed the police not to initiate any harsh measures against him while the matter remains under consideration.

The anticipatory bail petition will now be taken up for further hearing on a later date.

The case stems from an incident that took place on June 2 outside Khan Global Studies in Patna, where a group allegedly engaged in stone-pelting and vandalism. Videos that surfaced after the incident reportedly showed security guards firing shots into the air during the confrontation.

Police subsequently registered a case under provisions related to attempted murder and the Arms Act. During the investigation, Khan Sir was named in the First Information Report (FIR) after investigators allegedly recorded statements from security personnel. According to police findings, the security guards reportedly claimed that they acted on instructions given by Khan Sir, an allegation that remains under investigation.

Khan Sir, however, had earlier maintained that members associated with a rival coaching institute were responsible for the violence and firing. He has also suggested that competition within the coaching industry may have played a role in the incident, although investigators have not officially confirmed such claims.

The latest court proceedings come amid another complaint involving Khan Sir. Earlier this week, Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu GS Academy, approached Kadamkuan Police Station seeking action against the educator. The complaint reportedly relates to the death of Anand’s brother, Prince Yadav, at a hotel in Nepal and an alleged assault while Anand was lodged in Beur Central Jail.

Anand met police officials and submitted an application seeking an investigation into the matter. His lawyer accompanied him during the visit, while several supporters gathered outside the police station.

The development follows Anand’s release on bail in a separate case related to the June 2 coaching centre violence. While Anand secured bail earlier this week, his brother Abhishek and an associate identified as Gaurav continue to remain in judicial custody. A Judicial Magistrate First Class court recently rejected their bail pleas, and their legal counsel has indicated that fresh petitions will be moved before the district judge.
