Singer Angarag Papon Mahanta, popularly known as Papon, visited flood-hit areas of Sivasagar along with his wife and distributed relief materials among residents affected by the floods.
During his visit to Nimaijan, Papon met a teenager named Prachurya, who had earlier spoken about losing his harmonium to the floodwaters. In a gesture of support, the singer gifted Prachurya a new harmonium.
Papon's visit comes as several areas of Sivasagar continue to deal with the impact of the floods. The singer interacted with affected residents and extended assistance as part of ongoing relief efforts in the district.
Meanwhile, Papon's team of around 60 to 70 young volunteers continues to work in flood-hit villages in the southern areas. The team has been involved in relief activities alongside other volunteers working to support communities affected by the floods.
The relief efforts are being carried out as flood-affected residents continue to face difficulties caused by the inundation. Volunteers and relief teams have been working across affected areas to provide assistance to those in need.
