In a historic and bold policy shift, India has declared that any future terrorist activity will be treated as an act of war, and such actions will receive a military response. The announcement comes amid heightened tensions with Pakistan following India’s retaliatory strike, ‘Operation Sindoor’.
The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that Pakistan has attempted coordinated attacks at 26 locations across India over the past three days. These attacks, reportedly in response to Operation Sindoor, have been largely foiled by India’s advanced defence systems, including drones, long-range weapons, and fighter aircraft.
Terror attack from now on will be considered as an act of war: Government
Government sources stated, “Pakistan is continuously attacking us, but India is responding with full might. Any terror attack from now on will be considered as an act of war.”
The Indian Army also reported that Pakistan is deploying troops along the border, a move interpreted as a sign of its intent to intensify conflict. However, Indian forces remain on high alert, prepared to deal with any aggression.
Pahalgam Attack Sparks Retaliation
The sharp escalation follows the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, where 26 tourists were brutally killed. The attackers reportedly identified victims by name and religion before opening fire, an act that deeply shocked the nation.
In response, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ on the 15th day after the massacre. The operation targeted and destroyed nine major terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK), killing several top militants and dealing a significant blow to Pakistan’s terror network.
