A prominent businessman, George Bordoloi from Assam committed suicide in Sonapur today. Police said they found a suicide note in the incident. 70-year-old Bordoloi’s body was found hanging from a tree in the backyard of his resort at Georgie's Retreat Eco Camp resort in the Sonapur area on Guwahati outskirts. According to the report, Bordoloi has accused Don Bosco University's vice-chancellor, father Stephen Mavely's of abating his suicide in his note. Bordoloi had a conflict over an elephant corridor. Father Stephen Mavely's has already been brought to the police station for questioning. Bordoloi was one of the pioneer of rural cultural tourism in Assam.
