Gauhati University Campus hit by a flash flood – Scheduled examination postponed

All post-graduate examinations at Gauhati University have been postponed till June 20. The decision came at the end of discussions with the university authorities with the Post Graduate Students Association.

It may be recalled that there are many areas of the university campus currently reeling under artificial floods. Several residences on the South Campus of the university. It is reported that there is no water for drinking and other purposes.

The Guwahati University Postgraduate Students Association discussed these issues with the Vice-Chancellor of the University.

In this discussion, it was decided to postpone the examination till June 20. The university authorities also assured to solve drinking water and other problems caused by floods.

Meanwhile, the next exams on June 20 are expected to be held at the scheduled time.

It is worth mentioning that, due to heavy rainfall and landslide, 5 people have already lost their lives in the city. Many areas of the city are still under water.
