Dispur police station is soon to be relocated to Ganeshguri. The 41-old-year Dispur Police Station in Guwahati city is currently located near the Assam Secretariat at GS road, Guwahati. The shifting process of the police station to a new location will be seen within 10-15 days.

The Dispur police station will be shifted to its new address, Ganeshguri.

In the Ganeshguri area, the new Dispur police station will be next to the Gopal Boro government higher secondary school.

Police commissioner, Harmeet Singh, informed about this development on Tuesday.

Additionally, on Tuesday, Harmeet Singh, Guwahati police commissioner and Partha Sarathi Mahanta, joint commissioner of Guwahati police, intercepted the new facilities of the new Dispur police station.

The Dispur Police Station is the second-oldest police station in Guwahati, and it seems to be busy to boot. It tackles all High-Security zone cases and those of the Ministers’ Colony, MLAs’ Hostel, Janata Bhawan and the Assam Legislative Assembly. The police station has jurisdiction over a large area in east Guwahati, with two police outposts under it.
