The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has sounded the bugle for the upcoming elections in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR elections), unveiling a robust campaign strategy aimed at securing a resounding victory. In a press statement released today from the State BJP Headquarters Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan at Basistha Chariali, Guwahati, the party announced the appointment of five cabinet ministers as observers for key districts and in-charges for every constituency in the BTR, signaling a well-coordinated electoral push.
Under the banner of “Mission BTR,” the BJP is committed to fostering unity, peace, and prosperity for both Bodo and non-Bodo communities, drawing inspiration from the revered Bodo leader, Bodofa Upendranath Brahma. State BJP President Dilip Saikia emphasized the party’s unwavering determination to drive inclusive development and safeguard the interests of all communities in the region.
The campaign will kick off with a massive public rally in Udalguri tomorrow, led by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. The event, expected to draw thousands of supporters, will feature senior minister Pijush Hazarika and BJP State General Secretary Pallab Lochan Das, who will rally party workers and energize the grassroots. The Chief Minister is set to address multiple rallies over the next five days, with another grand public meeting scheduled for July 4 in Mushalpur, graced by senior minister Jayanta Malla Baruah and State General Secretary Rituparna Baruah.
Buoyed by recent victories in the Rabha Hasong and Panchayat elections, BJP workers are confident of achieving a historic hat-trick in the BTR polls. The press statement highlighted the transformative development initiatives spearheaded by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in Bodoland, coupled with the party’s robust organizational efforts under Dilip Saikia’s leadership, as key factors that will pave the way for a landslide victory.
With its strategic appointments and high-energy campaign, the BJP is poised to dominate the BTR elections, promising a progressive and inclusive future for the region.
