Assam State School Education Board (SEBA) has released the official schedule for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Compartmental Examination 2025.
According to the notification issued on May 6, 2025, the examinations will be conducted over a seven-day period from May 23 to May 29, 2025.
The compartmental exams, which provide students an opportunity to improve their performance in subjects they could not clear in the main examination, will be held in both morning and afternoon sessions.
The morning sessions will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon, while afternoon sessions will be conducted from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
The examination will commence on Friday, May 23, with MIL/English (IL) in the morning session and Sanskrit (Elective) in the afternoon.
The schedule continues with Social Science on Saturday, May 24, and General Mathematics on Monday, May 26, both scheduled only for morning sessions.
On Tuesday, May 27, students will take the English examination in the morning, while Arabic, Persian, and Assamese elective papers will be held in the afternoon session. General Science is scheduled for Wednesday, May 28, in the morning session only.
The examination series concludes on Thursday, May 29, with multiple elective subjects. Advanced Mathematics, Geography, History, Computer Science, and Commerce examinations will be conducted in the morning session, while Hindi (Elective) is scheduled for the afternoon.
Important instructions have been provided for candidates along with the timetable:
- The reporting time for the morning shift is 8:15 AM, while students appearing for afternoon examinations must report by 12:45 PM.
- Students will be given 15 minutes of extra time before the examination (8:45 AM to 9:00 AM for morning shift and 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM for afternoon shift) to read the question paper.
- For elective languages including Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo, Manipuri, and Santhali, the examination duration will be three hours. These papers will have common question papers with Group A and Group B sections, with Group A treated as IL.
- In English, General Mathematics, General Science, and Social Science, candidates must answer both objective and descriptive parts, with passing in both independently being mandatory.
