India-Pakistan Agree to Ceasefire: U.S. President Intervened
It is important to note that the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan came after prolonged negotiations mediated by the United States. U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted about this development. This step was taken at a time when tensions between the two countries had escalated due to continuous drone strikes, shelling, and heightened military activity along the border, raising concerns both regionally and globally.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar shared on social media that India and Pakistan have agreed to an immediate ceasefire. He stated that Pakistan has consistently worked towards peace and security in the region without compromising its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Sources reveal that a significant diplomatic effort was behind this sudden announcement of the ceasefire. India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar had been in continuous discussions with their American counterparts over the past several days. These talks aimed to de-escalate the situation along the border and reach a peaceful resolution.
