Located at Ahom Gaon near ISBT, the 250-bed super-specialty facility is equipped with cutting-edge infrastructure, advanced diagnostic systems, and a multidisciplinary team of specialists. Peerless Hospital, which carries a legacy of over 32 years of clinical excellence, is set to redefine tertiary care access for patients across Assam and the broader northeastern region.
“Peerless Hospital Guwahati will play a pivotal role in transforming the healthcare landscape of the state by ensuring that people no longer have to travel to metro cities for specialized treatment,” said Dr. Sarma during the inaugural ceremony.
Despite improvements in both public and private health sectors, the Northeast continues to face gaps in tertiary care — particularly in the areas of cardiology, neurology, oncology, nephrology, and trauma care. Each year, thousands of patients from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, North Bengal, and even neighboring Bangladesh travel long distances in search of quality treatment.
The newly inaugurated hospital seeks to ease this burden by offering comprehensive medical services under one roof, thereby reducing both the physical and financial strain of outstation healthcare travel.
Peerless Hospital officials stated that the Guwahati unit would combine advanced clinical care with compassionate service, reflecting the organization’s long-standing commitment to patient-first healthcare. With its strategic location and broad specialty offerings, the hospital is expected to emerge as a regional hub for tertiary medical care.
The facility is now operational and accepting patients across all departments.
