Family Background: Conrad Sangma was born on 27 January 1978 in Tura, Meghalaya. He is the son of former Lok Sabha Speaker PurnoAgitokSangma and Soradini K. Sangma


Education: Conrad Sangma has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Master's degree in International Affairs from Columbia University


Political Career: Conrad Sangma entered politics in 2008 and was elected to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly from the Ampati constituency. He served as the Leader of Opposition in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly from 2012 to 2018


Political Party: Conrad Sangma is the National President of the National People's Party (NPP), a regional political party in India that was founded by his father, PurnoAgitokSangma, in 2013


Chief Minister of Meghalaya: Conrad Sangma was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Meghalaya on 6 March 2018. He is the youngest Chief Minister of Meghalaya and the first from the National People's Party to hold the post


Development Initiatives: Conrad Sangma has launched several development initiatives in Meghalaya, such as the Meghalaya Health Insurance Scheme, the Meghalaya Youth Policy, and the Meghalaya Community Participation and Public Services Social Audit Act


Awards and Recognitions: Conrad Sangma was awarded the 'Young Leader Award' by the All India Conference of Intellectuals in 2015 and was recognized as one of the '50 Most Influential Young Indians' by GQ India in 2018
