Sourav Ganguly, former captain of the Indian cricket team, is set to become the face of Tripura Tourism, as announced by the state’s Chief Minister Manik Saha.
Expressing delight at Ganguly’s acceptance of the position, the Chief Minister conveyed the news through a tweet. “Today’s conversation with former Indian cricket captain, Mr. Sourav Ganguly, brings immense pride as he graciously accepted our invitation to become the Brand Ambassador of Tripura Tourism,” said Saha.
Saha also voiced confidence that Ganguly’s involvement will stimulate the state’s tourism sector. “I am certain that Mr. Ganguly’s participation will add substantial momentum to our tourism sector,” he said.
Nicknamed the ‘Bengal Tiger’ during his cricketing career, Ganguly enjoys a vast fan base across the nation. His new role as the brand ambassador of Tripura Tourism is anticipated to leverage his popularity to promote the state’s tourism industry.
