Earthquake tremors Meghalaya: 4.0 magnitude earthquake hits Tura on Monday morning

Earthquake tremors were felt at Tura in the northeastern state of Meghalaya at 6.32 am today. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake’s magnitude was measured at 4.0 on the Richter scale.

There is no report of any loss of life or property due to the earthquake. However, at the same time, tremors of earthquake were also felt in Cherrapunji last night. According to the National Center for Seismology, its magnitude was estimated at 3.5 on the Richter scale.

The earthquake occurred at 8:37 pm Indian time and came at a depth of 10 km from the surface. However, there is no news of any loss of life or property during this period.
