According to the National Center for Seismology, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 on the Richter scale struck the Tura region of Meghalaya in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The earthquake was felt around 6:57 in the morning, 59 kilometres to the north of Tura.
It was claimed that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 29 kilometres.
Another earthquake strikes Meghayala, measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 occurred on February 28, 2023 at 6:57:18 Indian Standard Time (IST), with coordinates of 26.04 and 90.11, a depth of 29 kilometres, and a location 59 kilometres north of Tura in Meghalaya, according to a tweet from the National Center for Seismology’s official account.
On Tuesday, there have already been reports of one earthquake in the northeast region, and this one is the second one.
According to the data provided by the National Center for Seismology, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.2 occurred in the Noney district of Manipur in the early morning hours of Tuesday (NCS).
The earthquake occurred at 2:46 in the morning, at a depth of 25 kilometres.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) issued a tweet that read, “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.2, Occurred on 28-02-2023, 02:46:39 IST, Lat: 24.67 & Long: 93.66, Depth: 25 Km, Location: Noney, Manipur, India.”
