Over the release of organization leaders, Manipur sees intense protests. The state government of Manipur has suspended internet service facilities across Manipur for 5 days.
After 3-4 youths from a community allegedly set a van on fire in the Bishnupur area, a tense communal and unstable law and order situation has arisen in the state.
CrPC Section-144 has been imposed in Churachandpur and Bishnupur districts for the next two months and suspension of internet service.
A lot of ruckus in Imphal was seen when, The All Tribal Students Union, Manipur, protested against the new bill introduced by the state government on Saturday. The tribal student union blocked the highways and vandalized different vehicles.

To control the situation, the police tried to stop the protest, which triggered a standoff, causing injury to more than 30 tribal students. Five tribal student leaders were arrested and sent for 15 days of remand.
Demanding immediate and more autonomy for the hilly areas, the tribal student union had also called for a bandh. Tribal groups of Manipur have been demanding the introduction of the ADC (Amendment) Bill 2021 in the state assembly. The bill will give more autonomy to the tribal areas.
On Tuesday, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh of the BJP government introduced Manipur (Hill Area) Zilla Parishad Sixth and Seventh Amendment Bills. The protesters claim that these bills are not related to their demands. In tribal-dominated Kangpokpi and Senpati, The ATSUM has kept a complete shutdown after the introduction of new amendments without any announcement since Tuesday
