BJP leader and actress Sonali Phogat died of a heart attack in Goa on Monday night, according to police officials. On Monday, Sonali Phogat complained to her staff of uneasiness, after which she was taken to the hospital.
The local police are on their way to the hospital as the post-mortem is being conducted. The actress was in Goa for a two days shoot.
In 2016, Sanjay Phogat, her husband, died at a farmhouse. Sonali’s parents are on their way to Goa from Haryana.
District president of the Hisar BJP, Capt Bhupender, said, “Sonali ji was in Goa. I spoke to her assistant, and he said that she died of a heart attack”.
Sonali also contested the last assembly election against Kuldeep Bishnoi from the Adampur Assembly constituency. Bishnoi, who was then in Congress, recently joined the BJP.
Sonali, a famous Tik Tok star, was also a contestant in Bigg Boss 14. A few social media activities were seen from her side on her social media handles.
She posted a video on her Instagram account sometime before her death. She also changed her profile picture on her Twitter handle simultaneously.
