Kapil Sibal left Congress

New Delhi: Congress veteran and former Union Minister Kapil Sibal have left the party. He filed a nomination for Rajya Sabha with the support of Samajwadi Party SP. Sibal has raised questions on the Congress’s high command, especially Rahul Gandhi.

In such a situation, it was believed that Congress would hardly send him to the Rajya Sabha. Before the nomination, Sibal had gone to the SP office and reached the Rajya Sabha along with Akhilesh. After filing his nomination, Sibal said that he had resigned from the Congress party on May 16.

Sibal is currently an MP from the Congress quota from Uttar Pradesh, but this time the party does not have enough MLAs in Uttar Pradesh who can send him to the Rajya Sabha again.

In such a situation, he put an end to all the speculations by filing a nomination on an SP ticket. Sibal also did not attend Congress’s Chintan Shivir in the past. He fiercely attacked the Gandhi family. It is worth noting that apart from Sibal, the SP has put its final seal on the names of Dimple Yadav and Javed Ali Khan.

The nomination process for 11 Rajya Sabha seats has started on May 24. The party is currently in a position to send only three people to the Rajya Sabha.
