ITBP’s vehicle has become a victim of an accident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. 6 jawans have been martyred in the accident, and 32 are injured.
They were assigned to Amarnath Yatra duty. The accident happened in Chandanwari Pahalgam. The injured were taken to the hospital. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police have informed that there were 39 personnel in the bus, out of which 37 belonged to ITBP and 2 were from Jammu and Kashmir Police.
After the bus brakes failed, it fell into the river on the side of the road. The soldiers were going from Chandanwadi towards Pahalgam. Casualties are likely. More information is yet to come.
An official said that after receiving the news of the accident, police and other officials reached the spot, and the jawans were rushed to the hospital.
