Popular singer Pawandeep Rajan, winner of Indian Idol Season 12, has been seriously injured in a road accident while traveling from Uttarakhand to Delhi. According to reports, the accident occurred when his driver allegedly fell asleep at the wheel, causing their MG Hector to crash into a parked canter on National Highway 9 in the Thana Gajraula area of Amroha.
The singer and two other occupants of the vehicle sustained serious injuries in the collision, which also severely damaged the car. All three have reportedly been referred to Delhi for advanced medical treatment due to the severity of their injuries.
Recent reports indicate Pawandeep has sustained injuries to his left foot and right arm. The accident has sparked concern among fans nationwide, with many taking to social media to express their support and prayers for his recovery.
Pawandeep Rajan rose to national fame after winning Indian Idol Season 12 in 2021, where he impressed both judges and audiences with his exceptional vocal talents. Prior to that achievement, he had already established himself in the music industry by winning The Voice India in 2015.
The 28-year-old artist hails from Champawat district in Uttarakhand and comes from a family with deep musical roots. His father Suresh Rajan, mother Saroj Rajan, and sister Jyotideep Rajan are well-known Kumaoni folk musicians. Remarkably, Pawandeep was recognized as the youngest tabla player when he was just 2 years old.
