Army jawan robbed and shot dead in Patna

On Thursday, at Kankarbagh, Bihar, an Army jawan was robbed and shot dead by miscreants. The incident occurred Thursday morning while the jawan was travelling to the train station.

The soldier has been identified as Babul Kumar. The Army soldier was riding his bike and moving towards the railroad to enquire about the route to the Patna railway junction, where the miscreants stopped him. The assailants tried to steal off the jawan. They suddenly opened fire and shot him instantly when the soldier tried to resist them.

Police took the body post-mortem and later sent the jawan’s body to his home village. Late Babul Kumar was a resident of Raghopur’ Chandpura village. To find information regarding the assailants, police are looking into the situation and examining the CCTV footage.

Manavjeet Singh Dhillon, SSP for Patna, said, “The jawan and his cousin brother were riding a bike to the train station. Unknown assailants stopped them and inquired about the location of Patna Railway Station before shooting the jawan to death,”
