On Monday, A school bus (AS 01 GC 4358) of Maria’s Public School met with a fatal accident in the Geetanagar area of Guwahati. As per the reports, the driver first hit a car (AS 01 FB 6777) and then hit a roadside shop.
It came to the light that the driver was under the influence of Alcohol.
Fortunately, no students or passengers of the car were injured. The car was damaged severely in the accident.

Geetanagar Police arrested the bus driver. Police seized the two vehicles involved in the accident.
It is worth mentioning that, a few days ago Supreme Court set new guidelines for school buses.
