About Zubeen Garg –
Zubeen started learning music at a young age under the guidance of his father Mohini Mohan Garg who was a famous Kabir singer and musician. He recorded his first Assamese album “Anamika” in 1992 which became very popular. Over the years, Zubeen has established himself as one of the most popular singers and music composers from North-East India with a huge fan following.
Some of his popular albums include Ya Ali, Rock, Din Dhal Jaye, Zindagi, Retoh Ba Jwo, Kanchanjunga and Priyotoma. He is known for his versatile singing style and bringing contemporary styles into Assamese regional music. Zubeen has sung over 1000 Assamese songs and 5000 songs across various Indian languages.
‘Daag’ is one of Zubeen’s most successful Hindi albums released in 2006 by Times Music. It consists of 12 tracks encompassing genres like pop, rock, ballad and semi-classical music. Some popular tracks from this album include “Rim Jhim”, “Daag”, “Dilruba”, “Chandni Raat”, etc. The album features lyrics by renowned lyricists like Sayeed Quadri, Nawab Arzoo, Shaailesh and Balli Upadhyay. It also has collaborations with famous Indian artists like KK, Sunidhi Chauhan and Abhijit.
