Summer Holidays of schools could be reduced from next year – Assam Education Minister

“The summer holidays could be reduced from next year. Consideration is being given to reducing the number of summer holidays.” said Education Minister Dr. Ronoj Pegu.

The CEE examination will be held on July 31 instead of July

He said the Gunotsav scheduled for the 27th in nine districts including Kachar and Dima Hasao has been postponed due to floods.

Meanwhile, schools with poor matric results in Golaghat, Chirang, Tinsukia and Bangagaon districts will continue teaching during the summer holidays. The decision was taken by the school inspectors of the districts.

There is a lot of controversy among the teachers in the districts over the decision to continue teaching from 9th to 12th grade during the summer holidays.
