The state government has urgently offered a package of Rs 50 crore to reconstruct various blocks in flood-ravaged Dima Hasao.
The important decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on the reconstruction of Dima Hasao, which was devastated by a flood.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of the reconstruction of this package and urgent implementation.
Under this package, Rs 30 crore has been provided to construct important roads affected by flood landslides immediately.
It has also been decided to extend Rs 2 lakh each to 590 families affected by the flood landslides to construct houses.
A total allocation of Rs 11.80 crore has been made to the affected families in this institute. 23 crore will be provided from SDRF Fund, and Rs 27 crore will be provided from the state government’s self-priority fund.
