Rohit Shetty and Arjun Kapoor donated to the Assam CM relief fund

On Thursday, Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, Director, and producer Rohit Shetty for their generous contribution of rupees 5 lacks ro the Chief Minister Relief Fund for the flood-affected people in the state.

CM Sarma wrote –“ Bollywood actor Shri Arjun Kapoor and director Shri Rohit Shetty stood by the flood-affected people of Assam with their contribution of ₹5 lakh to CM Relief Fund.
I thank them for their concern and act of generosity.”

It is worth mentioning that, due to continuous downpouring, several areas in the state have submerged with water. Flash floods hit Guwahati very badly as several areas such as Anil Nagar, Nabin Nagar, Rukmini Gaon, Juripar and many others are still under water.

As per the Indian Metrological department, it will likely rain more in the next few days in Assam and neighbouring states.

SDRF and NDRF forces are deployed in various parts of the state to rescue people from flood-affected areas.
