The long-awaited results for the higher secondary science, arts, and commerce streams have finally been declared. The announcement was made by the Higher Secondary Education Board at 9 am on Tuesday, following a tweet by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday afternoon, in which he revealed that the results would be unveiled the following day.
Breakdown of the Results:
The Arts stream witnessed a pass percentage of 70.12%. Out of a total of 261,231 candidates who appeared for the Higher Secondary Final Examination, 28,651 students secured the first position, 58,869 obtained the second position, and 95,660 achieved third place.
In the Science stream, students exhibited a strong performance, with an overall pass percentage of 84.96%, furthering the trend of impressive pass rates in this stream.
Meanwhile, the Commerce stream reported a solid pass rate as well, with 79.57% of students passing the examination.
Ramanujan Senior Secondary School Dominates Arts and Science Streams in Higher Secondary Final Examination
Ramanujan Senior Secondary School, situated in Nagaon, has emerged victorious in the Higher Secondary final examination, clinching top positions in the arts and science streams. A significant achievement for the institution, two of its students outperformed their peers, scoring the highest marks in their respective streams. Meanwhile, a student from Guwahati, along with another from Malayabari Senior Secondary School, jointly topped in the commerce stream.
Individual Accolades:
In the Arts stream, Sankalpjit Saikia stood out with an impressive score of 490 out of 500 marks, equivalent to a percentage of 98%. His notable performance underscores his commitment to excellence and the quality of instruction at Ramanujan Senior Secondary School.
Simultaneously, in the Science stream, Nikhilekh Dutta outpaced his peers by achieving the highest rank in his school. His accomplishment testifies to the rigorous scientific curriculum at the institution and his determination and diligence.
Joint Achievement in Commerce Stream
In an unusual yet commendable event, the commerce stream saw a tie for the first position. Varsha Bathra, from KC Das Commerce College in Guwahati, and Sanyukta Kumar, of Malayabari Senior Secondary School, jointly topped with a total of 472 marks. This dual triumph in the commerce stream highlights the high academic standards upheld by these institutions and the dedication of the students to their studies.
