Registrar of Bhattadev University in Pathsala, Guru Prasad Khatniar, arrested red-handed for taking a bribe

On Saturday, Guru Prasad Khatniar, registrar of Bhattadev University in Pathsala, was arrested for taking a bribe. Notably, in August, the Vigilance & Anti-Corruption officials made a significant mark in unearthing the corrupt state government officials.

Taking to Twitter, Special DGP L&O GP Singh said – Our fight against corruption continues. Today, a team of @DIR_VAC_ASSAM caught red-handed Sri Guru Prasad Khataniar, Registrar, Bhattadev University, Pathsala, District – Bajali, with accepted bribe money. Further Lawful action is being taken.

It is worth mentioning that, On August 3, a special team from the Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam, caught Forest Ranger Debabrata Gogoi of Lakshipur, Cachar District, while taking a bribe.
