Neelam Dutta of Biswanath district has been named the recipient of the Ambikagiri Raichoudhury Memorial Award 2025 in recognition of his outstanding contributions as an ideal farmer.
Dutta, founder of Pabhai Greens, will receive the honour at a ceremony scheduled for December 18, 2025.
The award function will be jointly organised by the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), Asom Unnoti Sabha, and Asom Sena. The three organisations collaborate annually to present the prestigious award named after the renowned Assamese poet and freedom fighter Ambikagiri Raichoudhury.
Dutta’s selection highlights his exemplary work in farming through Pabhai Greens, his agricultural enterprise based in Biswanath. The award acknowledges individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication and innovation in their respective fields.
The Ambikagiri Raichoudhury Memorial Award commemorates the legacy of the celebrated poet, nationalist, and social reformer who played a significant role in Assam’s cultural and political history. The annual recognition aims to encourage excellence and service to society in the spirit of Raichoudhury’s ideals.
The December 18 ceremony is expected to bring together dignitaries, agricultural community members, and representatives from the organising bodies to honour Dutta’s achievements.
