On Sunday, July 31st, a tragic accident happens in the Puranigudam area of the Nagaon district. A train engine collides with a car while crossing the railway track. As per the reports, all three people inside the vehicle were dead.
According to the reports, all three belongs to the same family. They are Chandan Kalita, Lilimai Kalita and Nilav Nayan Kalita.
Update –
The accident occurred when a vehicle – AS02 N4402 belonging to Chandra Kalita of Teliaganj near Chamguri was crossing the railway line when a train engine heading towards Shilghat from Nagaon hit the vehicle.
The train hit the vehicle and broke it into several pieces.
As per the reports, the railway authority dug a big hole in the location of the accident to make a railway crossing, but this project was delayed.
As a result, the hole disappears, and traffic movement typically starts again.
