MP Ajit Kumar Bhuyan was suspended from Rajyasabha for a week – Here’s why?

MP Ajit Kumar Bhuyan was suspended from Rajya Sabha for a week on July 28. He was protesting with placards in his hand.

Bhuyan was protesting for a permanent solution for the Assam flood and implementing the clause 6 committee report.

Taking to Twitter, Ajit Kumar Bhuyan said — I am being suspended from Rajya Sabha this week for asking these two pertinent questions to PM with a placard today.
1) Don’t give lollipops in Assam’s name of flood relief.
2) Where is Constitutional protection for the Assamese people?

Who is Ajit Kumar Bhuyan ?

Ajit Kumar Bhuyan is a member of Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament, from the state of Assam. He was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha on 18 March 2020. He is also an Indian journalist, author and former editor of the Asomiya Pratidin, Aji, Natun Samay, and Prag News.
