It is a reason to rejoice for all the countrymen as the Indian Lawn bowl team creates history by defeating South African players. One of the players on the team is Nayanmoni Saikia from Assam.
Nayanmoni Saikia hails from Tengabari, a remote village in Assam’s Sarupathar area under Golaghat District of Assam. She is ranked 14th in women’s triples and fourth in women’s fours.

Saikia studied at the Golaghat Commerce College. Madhukant Pathak has coached her. Saikia has been married since 2013.
According to Betterindia, Nayanmoni Saikia is currently working as a Forest Officer.
As per the reports, Nayanmoni Saikia ”was a very dedicated weightlifter earlier until a leg injury ended her career”.

India’s lawn bowl teams create history at Commonwealth Games 2022, bringing home the first-ever gold medal at Lawn Bowl Evet, defeating South Africa. On Tuesday, defeating the South African Indian team created history at CWG.
Indian Lawn Bowl team includes four players: Lovely Choubey, Pinki, Rupa Rani Tirkey, and Nayanmoni Saikia.
Hailing from Jharkhand, Lovely is a constable at Jharkhand Police. Rupa is a District Sports Officer at Jharkhand.
