Assam’s Lovlina Borgohain reportedly filed a divorce petition against her husband Navaneet Goswami in Kamrup Metro family court in Guwahati.
Nabaneet hails from the Jorhat District of Assam, and they married in 2018 following their long-term relationship.
In Kamrup Metro Family Court, they mutually registered a case (Case no – 738/2022) for their Divorce.
It is worth mentioning that, Lovlina won the bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 in the women’s welterweight event, becoming only the third Indian boxer to win a medal at the Olympics.
Lovlina Received Asom Sourav Award in 2021. It is the 2nd highest civilian award of Assam. Apart from that, She received Arjuna Award, presented by President Ram Nath Kovind virtually, for her outstanding performance in boxing.
In 2021, she also received the Khel Ratna Award, the highest sporting honor in India.
