Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport, Guwahati has been ranked as the 10th busiest airport in India in the month of November 2022, in terms of domestic passenger movements. Passenger volume at LGBI Airport is rambling having more than 16,000 passengers a day. The outpouring in travel demand has been mainly driven by domestic passenger movement and chartered services operations. During the month of November 2022, the airport handled 4,57,858 domestic passengers registering a growth of 10% over the same month of the previous year. The airport moved to the 10th position in November 2022, from being ranked the 11th busiest airport during the pre-pandemic time. It is worth mentioning that, Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi termed the busiest airport in the country.
