Kamrup (City) district administration has issued special travel instructions for the buses of the Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) owing to heavy traffic congestion caused by the construction of the flyover at Maligaon.
With an objective to mitigate traffic problems and ensure smooth transit, the district administration has directed ASTC buses arriving from outside Guwahati and distant places to alter their usual routes.
Consequently, these long-distance buses will no longer be allowed to pass through Maligaon, a decision made in consideration of the ongoing flyover construction and the ensuing heavy traffic congestion in the area.
