ISRO Chairman S. Somanath to Attend Special Program at Pragjyotishpur University

ISRO Chairman S. Somanath is scheduled to attend a special program at Pragjyotishpur University in Guwahati on January 17, celebrating the success of recent ISRO missions, including Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya-L1.

The event, organized by the university administration, will feature felicitation and an interactive session with students. The program will take place at the Srimanta Sankardeva International Auditorium at Sankardeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati.

The date coincides with Shilpi Divas, and the event will commence with a lamp-lighting ceremony and the garlanding of the image of the renowned artist Jyoti Prasad Agarwala. Somanath had previously emphasized the global significance of the Aditya-L1 mission, stating it was not just for India but for the entire world.

The ISRO chief highlighted the complexities involved in placing the satellite into its precise orbit, underscoring the collaborative nature of space exploration.
