A tragic incident has unfolded in Guwahati as a fourth-year female student from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati was found dead in a hotel room. The student, identified as Aishwarya Pulluri from Telangana, had come to Guwahati with three batchmates to celebrate the New Year. They had booked two rooms in a hotel, and upon check-in, it was reported that they were inebriated.
On the following morning, Aishwarya was discovered unconscious in the washroom by her friend who shared the same room. She was immediately taken to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared her as brought dead.
The police have initiated an investigation into the incident, questioning all her friends and other individuals related to the case. IIT Guwahati expressed condolences to the student’s family and stated that the police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident.
The details of the investigation and the cause of her death are yet to be disclosed.
