On Wednesday, April 12, the Assam government agreed to give each of the over 11,000 dancers, musicians, and master trainers who participated in the massive Bihu performance Rs 25,000 so that they may be recognised in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, revealed this on Wednesday (April 12).

The Bihu dance performance for the Guinness Book of World Records will take place at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati on Thursday, April 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., CM Sarma announced during a news conference on Wednesday.

On April 14, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present at the massive Bihu programme at Sarusajai Stadium, which will go as planned.

The major Bihu dance performance has been planned to promote the Assamese dance style around the world as a symbol of Assamese culture and way of life.

More than 11,000 performers and Bihu artists will be present at this event, which will try two new Guinness World Records: the largest dhulia (drummer) ensemble and the largest Bihu dance performance in a single place.

The Bihu dance performance’s effort to break the Guinness World Record will take place on April 13 between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., and it will be officially recognised on April 14 in Prime Minister Modi’s presence, according to CM Sarma.

No pass is necessary to enter Sarusajai Stadium on April 13 because admission will be free to everyone. On April 14, however, only those who have been invited and are in possession of official passes for the massive Bihu programme are permitted admission into the stadium, according to CM Sarma.
