On the way home from the concert on Monday, April 24, the vehicle of famed Assamese singer Krishnamoni Chutia crashed with a tempo.
The singer and the drivers of both vehicles were hurt in the collision, which happened in the Samaguri neighbourhood in Assam’s Nagaon district.
According to sources, the impact was so severe that Krishnamoni’s car’s front end sustained complete damage. The injured were sent urgently to a neighbouring hospital for medical care.
“We were travelling from Nalbari to Demow in Sivasagar since we had a gig arranged there tonight when a tempo came at us from the incorrect direction and collided with us”, the singer said when speaking to the media about the incident.
Fortunately, none of the four occupants of our car—which was hit—were hurt. Only the car sustained damage.
