Faizan death case: Assam Chief Minister wrote a letter to Chief Minister Mamata demanding a proper investigation

Regarding the mysterious death of an Assamese student at Kharagpur IIT, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has written a letter to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressing concern about this matter. Himanta Biswa Sharma has requested a proper investigation into the mysterious death of the Assamese student in the letter.

Faizan Ahmed, a resident of Tinsukia in Assam, was a student at IIT Kharagpur. His body was found hanging in the hostel room of the university on October 14. He was a third-year student of mechanical engineering in Kharagpur.

The mother of Faizan, Rehena Ahmed told that they last talked with her son on Tuesday evening after that they lost all contact and only on Friday they were informed that Faizan was critically sick and later about his death by suicide. The father, Salim Ahmed told that the officials of Kharagpur Town Police Station declined to issue receipt copy of the FIR submitted on 15.10.2022 and even refused to hand over his cell phone. The parents even met with the DM of West Medinipur Ayesha Rani A for justice.

His family has already complained to the Kharagpur police station. Kharagpur IITK has had several incidents of murder before. Several students have died. Last week, two students died mysteriously on two different campuses in Kharagpur. How they died is still a mystery. After that, speculations about the mysterious death of the Assamese student again increased.
