When Himanta Biswa Sarma was asked a question on one nation, one law, he said, ‘ everybody knows our and the party’s opinion on such subjects. BJP’s ideology and BJP’s thinking is in front of everyone, so there is nothing to discuss in it. Discussion happens when our demand is not clear.

Uniform Civil Code is a proposal in India to formulate and implement personal laws of citizens which apply to all citizens equally regardless of their religion, sex, gender, and sexual orientation. Currently, the personal laws of various communities are governed by their religious scriptures.
