Nazir Kazi, a.k.a Boga, a drug trafficker, was seriously injured in the Kamrup police encounter. The state continues to have encountered one after the other. This time the incident took place at Baihata Chariali.
Kamrup police on Thursday night received a tip-off that the dreaded drug mafia Nazir Kazi alias Boga had gone to supply drugs. In a search operation carried out by Kamrup Police, Boga was caught red-handed. Police asked Boga to stop, but he tried to flee from the area. After that, the police opened fire, and it injured his legs.
In this operation, Assam Police constable Bhupen Kalita also gets injured. It is reported that Kalita is well now.
Immediately after the incident, Boga was rushed to Bejra Primary Health Care Centre. There he received preliminary treatment, and after that, he was shifted to Gauhati Medical College Hospital.
