Dr. Angkita Dutta, the president of the Assam Pradesh Youth Congress, was suspended from primary membership on April 22 for a period of six years. In a press statement, Tariq Anwar, a member of the DAC’s secretariat, informed the media.
According to reports, Dr. Angkita Dutta’s anti-party activities led to her expulsion from her membership. According to a press release, her membership was supposed to last for six years.
It’s important to note that Dutta accused Srinivas of harassing her “continually” and treating her differently because of her gender for six months in a series of tweets. Additionally, she charged Rahul Gandhi with failing to take action after being informed of the situation several months prior.
Angkita is the daughter of former Assam minister Anjan Dutta, who also held the post of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president. Angkita had also contested the Assembly elections on a Congress ticket from the Amguri constituency.
